Waagacusub.com Kenyan police soldiers arrested a suspected Al Shabaab-bomb expert in the coastal town of Lamu, following an operation.Paul Leting, police cheif, said the police detained a man, bomb expert believed to have links with al Shabaab group based in Somalia.

He says the suspected man was arrested on Friday at King Fahad hospital staff headquarters in Lamu, following a tip-off.

"This man was found with materials for making a bomb and Improvised Explosive Devices”, he said.Paul Leting says its soldiers started to establish if the suspect has links with medical staff at the hospital.We have started an investigation if there is a relation between the suspected man and the medical staff members at the hospital”, he noted.Lamu has been witnessed deadly attacks by Al Qaeda linked Al Shabaab since Kenya sent its military forces into Somalia 2011 to fight border cross-attacks and kidnappings by Al Shabaab.Last month, at least 11 Kenyan military soldiers were killed in two separate attacks claimed by Al Shabaab in Lamu, northeast of Kenya.
