innocent civilians killed in Somalia within two weeks
says a UN statement
Nairobi
(Waagacusub) United Nations has officially stated that
wars which were happening in Somalia’s devastated capital,
Mogadishu have ruthlessly engulfed the lives of 80 innocent
civilians and reasoned a great number of people to have
been hospitalized for the past two weeks solely.
an official statement issued from the Nairobi based
office of Mark Bowden , a United Nation humanitarian
co-coordinator for Somalia said more than eight dozens
of Somali civilians had lost their lives in different
skirmishes in the war-racked city of Mogadishu and 80
other thousands of new civilians made a large displacement
following the recent clashes between Somali Transitional
Federal Government and Islamists in the country's capital
In the statement, the UN said that it was very much
concerned about the painful havoc and great damage on
Somali civilians as well as indiscriminate shelling
of both sides on the residential locations in Somalia
’s capital, Mogadishu .
In the end, the declaration from the office of UN
Humanitarian co-coordinator for Somalia in Nairobi has
called upon all sides who are engaged in the Somali
conflict to cease the conflicts and be merciful to Somali
vulnerable people.
