waljama’ chairman denies to have a Power - sharing deal
with Somali government
Ahlusuna Waljamaa senior clerics have ruled out that
there is a power-sharing deal between the Ahlusuna waljamaa
and Somali transitional federal government. The moderate
Islamist group said in a official statement that Addis
Ababa talks between the group and Somali government
were meant to have grand deal of cooperation.
An exclusive interview with one of Mogadishu based
stations, Ahlusuna waljamaa chairman, sheikh Omar Sheikh
Mohamed Farah who is currently in Mogadishu for a short
time visit has raised many issues including Somali overnment-Ahlusuna
waljamaa takks in Adis Ababa.
the chairman stressed that both sides - the TFG and
Ahlusuna had talked about crucial matters pertaining
ways to have full accord of bilateral cooperation between
his group and TFG led by Sheikh Shariif Sheikh Ahmed
owing to the needs that each side has for the other.
The chairman has acknowledged that he met some of senior
members of somali trabnsitional government in Ethiopia
’s capital, Addis Ababa . Ahlusuna waljamaa chairman
has mentioned that the outcome of Addis Ababa talks
will soon be announced.
Like wise, the chairman strongly stated that he and
his group were in place in search of senior posts from
the government in Somalia or as political movement.
“It is ridiculous to hear such news in Somalia or beyond.
We are fighting to strengthen our religion,” Sheikh
Omar Sheikh Mohamed Farah , Ahlusuna waljamaa chairman
said.
