Somalia: Burhakaba district administration in Bay region discuss the rising prices of food in the district.

The administration and the residents of Burhakaba district 187km from the Somali capital Mogadishu have at length discussed how to curb the rising of food price and the high inflation in their district, which has affected the low class families in the area.

The administration addressed the different categories of the society and the top agenda of the discussion was how to alleviate the rising price of food, which has generally affected the country as a whole.

The different parts of the community that have attended the meeting condemn the mercantile in the district of been part of the inflation.

“From now onwards we shall do something about the refusal the old one thousand shillings, and who attempts to take would face the music,” said Mohamed Abdi Hassan the district commissioner of Burhakaba district addressing the press.

This convention came after sequence of demonstrations in the district towards the rebuttal of the old one thousand note, which the vexed demonstrators smashed shop windows and doors.
