Somali Goverment turned Into an instrument of Revenge.
The blueprint of the somali Government turned out to be the use of all institutions under their control, particularly finance, security, and judiciary institutions as instruments of partisan, domination, and revenge.
Somali Goverment has openly used courts to prosecute political opponents and NISA to arrest, threaten, harass or assassinate anyone suspected of being disloyal to the rulers.
The use of government power as a tool of revenge, oppression, domination, is not merely a occasional matter of Farmajo’s government. It is an explicitly articulated public philosophy and policy.
Government security agents raided the home of former Presidential candidate Abdirahman Abdishakur injuring and arresting him after killing all five his bodyguards who were from Somali National Army (NSA) with no acceptable explanation. The raid was executed by well trained NISA elite force trained by western partners for anti-terrorism operations. Mr. Abdishakur is chairman of Wadajir party and formerly political advisor to UN Secretary General Special Representative for Somalia. President Farmaajo fired immediately the judge who declared government raid illegal.
Somali Government revenge visited other political leaders. Two Former Somali Presidents Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and Hassan Sheilh Mohamud and their delegations have been blocked from traveling to Kismayo and Beledweyne by Somali Goverment.
Furthermore, Somali Goverment have weaponized it’s revenge against Somaliland not only by denying it to receive international aid in line with its humanitarian needs and proportion of its population, but also by forcing international NGOs to work only through Ministry of planning in Mogadishu. The denial of humanitarian assistance and other repressive measures against somaliland has increased the secession sentiment in the somalilanders and undermined the efforts to persuade them to return to the greater Somalia.
For three years, the notion of hurting, harming, and punishing opponents and citizens alike with government power existed not only as accidental measure but as a state policy. It is being touted as a governing blueprint of President Farmajo & prime minister Kheyre.
This revenge and subversion tactics are processes by which the Somali government has trampled, reversed, and contradicted the values and principles believed in by the Somali people in an attempt to transform the constitutionally established social order and its structures of power, authority, hierarchy, and social norms into personal rule that is above the law.
