House Speaker accuses PM of raiding the Parliament

Somali Lower house Speaker, Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari said the government forces have taken over parliament amid looming poltical crisis.

Somali Lower house Speaker, Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari said the government forces have taken over parliament amid looming poltical crisis.

Speaking at the press conference, Jawari accused of Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire of engineering the raid on the parliament premises.

"The debate on the motion against me must be held in a difference place since the the government has taken control of the parliament buildings," said Jawaari.

Jawaari pointed out that the motion against him was proposed after he rejectd to sign documents.

"I refused to sign documents that are contrary to the principles and trust of the Somali parliament" he noted.

The sentiment of the speaker comes hours after security forces raided the parliament building presumably trying to prevent choas as the tension is high.
