Waagacusub.com- Al-Shabaab fighters have today released two Kenyan hostages which they kidnapped from Qorfa xarar village in Wajir town of the northeastern province on November 22nd. North Eastern Provincial Commissioner, Mohamed Birik told reporters that the abducted hostages come back to their home villages in safe and sound.

He pointed out that the hostages were traditional elders and they were released after a long negotiation between the community leaders and the Al-Shaabab militants.

The commissioner has also added that the border security has been tightened so that it will be impossible for Al-Shabaab not to abduct the civilian from the region.
