The arrest of former Minister Abdirashid has disrupted security in Baidoa, as his Laysan clan has launched a military operation to retake it.

The Minister's arrest was ordered by the President of the South West State of Somalia. as confirmed to me by various sources. Opponents of the Lafta Gareen administration are constantly under arrest and repression by the South West Administration. Former Minister Abdirashid was taken to the Horyaal Hotel after his release from prison.
